Pond cleaning
A fresh start for your living water.
A fresh start for your living water.
Thick sludge, dark or tea-colored water, or an odor calls for a full drain and cleanout. Clear water with debris that can be netted often needs only a lighter tidy or spring start-up.
Plan for a yearly spring cleaning at minimum. Ponds beneath oaks should wait until pollen drop finishes, typically in April. Cleaning can stress fish; losses are rare, but we cannot fully guarantee against them. Fountain cleaning is also available.
What we look after.
- Fish housed safely during cleaning
- Full drain and removal of sludge and debris
- Aquatic plants trimmed
- Pumps and biofilters cleaned
- Refill and beneficial bacteria added
